The last stop of the AFTERMATCH 2.0 Reload international seminar series took place in Nicosia, Cyprus, from October 23–25, 2025 – marking the 8th and final DCO Seminar of the project.
Hosted in collaboration with local partners, the event brought together professionals to reflect on the journey so far, and to deepen their understanding of the Dual Career Officer model as a sustainable tool to support athletes’ transitions.
A Fitting Conclusion
The program featured:
- Hands-on workshops and role-playing exercises
- Group analysis of #DualCareer cases
- Peer-to-peer coaching techniques
- Regional examples of good practice from sports organizations
Beyond training, the event served as a celebration of the community built throughout the year – a Europe-wide network of professionals dedicated to promoting #DualCareer values and supporting athlete well-being.
Beyond the Finish Line
Although the seminar in Nicosia concluded the international training series of the #AFTERMATCH 2.0 Reload project, it also marked the beginning of a new phase: one focused on implementation, impact, and continued collaboration.
The message was clear – the dual career journey doesn’t end here. It continues in every organization, every coach’s plan, and every athlete’s story.
